About
In the next season of the local church, one of the areas of need will be the leadership provided by specialized pastors. The pandemic has served to speed up certain trends that were already happening in the church. One of those trends is in the area of church attendance, affiliation and adherence. There is an increase of people in the evangelical church who are not choosing to physically attend a local church, or to identify themselves with any given church. With a decrease in attendance will eventually come a decrease in financial support and giving.
One area that we feel will increase will be in the area of full-time pastoral generalists (those able to do many things well in the church, but who may not have a specialty or experience in specialized areas such as prayer ministry, discipleship, children’s ministry, etc.) and a decrease in the ability to hire full-time specialists on an ongoing basis. The body will still need, and perhaps need more than ever, the specialized skill-sets, training and experience of leaders, but perhaps now more as contributors rather than permanent fixtures on a team. Contributing Pastor partners with churches to bring specialized contributions to areas that are needed in the local church. We offer customized contributions by specialists to support, train, and deploy lay leaders and ministry staff.
Whether you have a new staff member who would benefit from mentoring and the experience of a pastoral contributor, or a group of passionate volunteers who are wanting to serve well but need some more specialized training, resourcing, and coaching, we want to partner with you to see that happen in the next season for your local church.
