Jeremy Kinniburgh

Rev. Jeremy R. Kinniburgh is an ordained and credentialed pastor in the Alliance Church of Canada since 2003. He lives in Vernon, BC, in Canada. He attended Canadian Bible College in Regina and has worked in Quesnel (a church of around 300), and recently concluded his time at Vernon Alliance Church (a church of 1000+ at the time) where he worked for the last 15 years in the areas of Prayer Ministry, Discipleship, Small Groups, Young Adults and Student Ministries. In his time at VAC he also served on the leadership team planning weekend services, calendaring, and leading teams. Over the last two decades he has spoken at churches, events and conferences, served international workers, and done pastoral care, inner healing and ministry care for many people in various ministry environments. His heart is for renewal and for churches and people to step into renewal, and to see the kingdom come through the church to the communities they find themselves in. He is married to Carmen, and they have a family that is learning to live in the culture of the Kingdom and in relationship with King Jesus. Jeremy enjoys the outdoors, sports, travelling, time with his family and camping. He is passionate about helping people to encounter Jesus, experience true freedom and wholeness, and come into the fullness of life that God created them for!

Carmen Kinniburgh

Rev. Carmen Kinniburgh is an ordained and credentialed pastor in the Alliance Church of Canada. She lives in Vernon, BC with her husband Jeremy and their children. Carmen ministered at Vernon Alliance Church as a children’s pastor for ten years. She also served in children’s, youth and music/drama ministry in Quesnel, BC and Hinton, AB after completing her bachelor’s degree from Canadian Bible College in 2003.
Carmen understands the challenges and joys of recruiting, training and leading large teams of volunteers, ministering to children and families, and enjoys teaching, preaching, camp and special event speaking to children, youth, women and congregations. Her desire in ministry and life is to help others hear God’s voice and to experience the freedom and fullness of love found in knowing Jesus and living kingdom lives.
Carmen enjoys spending her time reading, writing, walking and exploring the trails in the North Okanagan with family and friends and is working on a Masters of Theological Studies through McMaster Divinity College. She loves theatre, playing soccer, traveling and camping.

Michelle Derksen

Rev. Michelle Derksen loves people and desires to see them grow and thrive. Her goal in life is to live and model a way of life that is life-giving, transformative, and inspires others to choose the same. She and her husband Murray have spent the last 3+ decades serving in various countries and capacities, all while raising their family of four. Through the joys and challenges of life, ministry, and her own health journey she has learned many deep lessons and treasures that flavor her leadership style.
A particular area of specialty for Michelle is in the area of conflict. One thing that has become evident down through the years is that conflict is inevitable and can devastate families, teams and relationships at every level, and we don't often manage it well! Michelle has training and certification in Conflict Resolution, Mediation and Conflict Coaching. She is passionate about helping people gain tools and skills to be able to navigate hard situations in a way that is helpful, beneficial and honouring to all those involved.
Michelle is an ordained and credentialed worker with the Alliance Canada. Her specialties within the area of Coaching and Conflict include: Conflict Engagement Training, Conflict Coaching, Conflict Resolution/Mediation, and Leadership Coaching
