One of the primary callings of a pastor is to provide pastoral care and shepherding, yet this can often be an area that gets squeezed out by other more pressing duties, or can be a place of limited competence in which pastors defer care to someone else. The church has the opportunity to offer a unique theological and spiritual perspective and ministry to individuals which is essential in processing forgiveness, repentance, wounding, and difficulty. Much of the growth for pastors in this area is learned through experience and personal development over time, and often with many mistakes made. With years of experience in pastoral care, soul care, and spiritual wellness practice and teaching, we can provide coaching and support for pastors as you grow in your pastoral care skills and gifting.
Another aspect of pastoral care is that we all need to have someone in our lives speaking into our own journeys. The care of the pastor is an oft-neglected reality in the church. The question is: who is shepherding the shepherd and providing pastoral care for pastors and leaders?
