Every board, whether elder, leadership or organizational, will encounter conflict and challenges that can either unite, or divide a team. How that board chooses to engage with conflict, one another, and their mandate will determine the overall health of the church or organization that they lead. Conflict can be a place for misunderstanding and confusion that can create patterns of brokenness and division in the team. The flip side is that conflict can be done in healthy ways, and can refine team cohesion and clarify vision as you develop understanding for how board members operate and process.
